Need Volunteers

We always need volunteers to help with the activities and events planned by the centre. The centre gets booked for weddings and other gatherings. There are lots of ways to help out.

The Hart Pioneer Centre provides affordable nutritious meals for everyone (membership not required) 5 days a week from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Available on request and served daily.

Welcome to the Hart Pioneer Centre

The Hart Pioneer Centre is the only senior’s centre in Prince George that is owned and maintained by its members. The Centre raises funds in a variety of ways that include dances, Christmas dinner, special teas, pancake breakfasts, crib tournaments, roast beef dinners, bingo, garage sales, craft fairs and bake sales just to name a few. The Centre is also available to rent out for various functions throughout the year including weddings and memorials.

Our goal is to help our seniors remain healthy, active, independent and contributing members of the community through fellowship, entertainment, recreational activities and a place to socialize and participate in activities with other people. There is something for everyone at our Centre. If you are interested in joining just drop in to see us at 6986 Hart Highway or phone us at 250-962-6712.

The Hart Pioneer Centre is open Mon – Fri from 9 am to 3 pm

Membership is available to anyone who is 50 years of age or older for a fee of $25 per year.

Lunch for take out or eat-in is available five days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call us the day before to let us know your plans. Take out Lunches are $15/plate and Dine-in lunches are $17/plate.
